Manual Lymphatic Drainage Wilmington, DE
POST OPERATIVE MLD TREATMENTS
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized, gentle technique designed to reduce swelling (edema) by stimulating the flow of lymph fluid throughout the body. This treatment is especially beneficial
after surgery, injury, or trauma, when fluid can become trapped in the body’s tissues.
Swelling may be visible in areas such as the feet, ankles, legs, arms, and more. However, internal swelling—in areas like the shoulders, spine, around scar tissue, or near surgical sites—may not be visible but can still contribute to symptoms such as pain, stiffness, and restricted movement.
