Acupuncture

Acupressure, Cupping, Electro Acupuncture and Moxibustion

Acupuncture is an ancient therapy that has its roots in China, dating back around 5,000 years. This practice involves inserting fine sterile needles at specific points on the body to help regulate the flow of Qi, which is considered vital energy universal life force, ultimately restoring balance within the body. In traditional Chinese philosophy, Qi is seen as the fundamental substance of the universe. Within our, Qi travels through channels known as meridians. When Qi does not flow freely it can lead to imbalances and illnesses.

According to the NIH's National for Complementary and Integrative Health, "Acupuncture is a technique in which practitioners insert fine into the skin to treat health problems. The needles may be manipulated or stimulated with small electrical currents (electroupuncture). Acupuncture has been practiced in some form for least 2,500 years." The " of Acupuncture" refers to the application of oriental medical therapies aimed at normalizing energetic physiological functions, including pain control, as as promoting, maintaining, and restoring health.

My Story

Iryna is a licensed acupuncturist recognized by the Delaware State Board of Medicine and a nationally certified NCCAOM® Diplomate of Acupuncture. She integrates various techniques in her practice, such as cupping therapy, moxibustion, guasha, Tuina, and electro-acupuncture. She creates personalized treatment plans based on TCM diagnostics, employing a combination of acupuncture techniques, cupping therapy, Tuina/acupressure, electro-ac, and moxibustion to meet each patient's specific needs.

Her path into acupuncture and Chinese Medicine began years ago when she faced an acute illness that was miraculously resolved through, surprising her conventional doctor. This pivotal experience ignited her passion for both Western medicine and alternative healing methods, including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Bach Flowers, I, and Reiki. She graduated with honors as a Physician's Assistant/Paramedic in Ukraine and experience at a regional hospital's ambulatory clinic and ER. Iryna subsequently earned her Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (DTCM) and Acupuncturist diploma from the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese (CITCM) in Calgary, Alberta, completing over 1,380 hours of clinical practice. During her studies, she also acquired practical experience at Green Jade Acupuncture and Massage Clinic.

As a devoted mother of two teenagers, Iryna has utilized TCM to treat her children from a young age, with other family members and herself, achieving positive results and deepening her expertise while navigating the process of credential evaluation and successfully passing the NCCAOM exams.

Initial visits are 90 minutes (30 minute evaluation + 60 minute treatment per plan)
